SHIRDI: 122 kms from Nashik and 296 km frqm Mumbai lies the small village of Shirdi. Famous throughout Maharashtra as the home of the revered Saint -Sai Baba. An ascetic, who preached tolerance towards all religions and the message of universal brotherhood. Sai Baba is widely believed to be the in- carnation of Guru Dattatraya. Every activity in Shirdi revolves around the vast temple complex dedicated to the saint's memory. Thursdays are especially auspicious andis marked by special 'pujas' and darshans . Sai Baba attained samadhi on Dasshera day, act 15th 1918. Also visit the Dwarkamai mosque, Gurustan, the Khandoba temple, Shani Mandir.
