Open- air restaurants line the beach area and are scattered through the coconut palms behind it. Almost all the restaurants offer a standard menu including porridge, mueslieggs, toast, idili and dosa for breakfast, and curries or seafood with chips and salad for dinner. At night, you stroll along the beachfront and select your fish - the range includes seer, barracuda, sea bass, catfish, king and tiger prawns, and crab. You can also select the method of preparation : tandoor, sizzler or grilled. Most preparation involve tasty spices.
Serenity, at the south end of the beach turns out good travelers' breakfasts and
reasonable 'spegatty'; nearby Black cat and Shiva's Moon are similar. The Sea View Restaurant is popular all day long, and just beyond the headland the Sea Shore Restaurant
is a good spot to sip beer at sunset.
